We at Beamridge would like to thank all of you that attended our second Charity Boxing event last Friday evening. The night was full of a wide variety of bouts with women’s boxers, a team from Ireland and boxers representing our British Army. This was complimented by a three course meal and in some cases, an abundance of drinks.
As a result of your support from last years event the Nemesis Amateur Boxing Club have been able to improve all aspects of their training to provide the best opportunities for their young boxers to successfully compete in domestic and European tournaments, a situation which just a couple of years ago would have been impossible. Aside from the boxing, your generosity has contributed to the development of the young people who have benefitted from the family atmosphere and strong values engendered by the Nemesis ABC. All this has only been made possible by those who contributed so much to the Club last year and created the legacy, we can’t wait to see what the results this year brings.
Last year we also supported the Ellenor Hospice Charity, this time around we turned our attention to fundraising for the Demelza Children’s Hospice. Demelza are committed to providing the best care and support for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and their families.
We hope you all enjoyed the night as much as we did and look forward to seeing you at our next event.
A special thank you also needs to go to the organisers, Lee and Renee May for the hard work that went in to putting the event together.
