We are currently looking to expand our pre-construction team with an additional estimator.
Must know Excel, Outlook, and Word. Intermediate to senior level individual looking to move along to the next step of development, some practical field experience would also be a strong benefit. Seeking a process driven and well organised individual that can manage multiple streams of work at the same time. Previous experience in cost planning estimation would be an asset. Keen understanding of unit cost estimating and the impact on establishing a building cost per square foot. Looking to mitigating risk of the costs being suggested and possibilities of VE. If you don’t have the information you’ll know where and how to find it. Able to cost from basic single sheet sketches of a development, to a fully specified tender, but also the varying degrees of applications in between. You will be required to develop a qualified estimate that can be relied on by the commercial team. Experience in projects between 4 and 15 million – ranging from RC frame, steel structures, traditional frame and comprising low/mid-rise residential, commercial, care in block housing, flats, and houses. Knowledge of MMC and a basic understanding of land/build package offers within the RP sector. Basic understanding of JCT design and build contracts and previous experience in a contractor environment is great, but not essential.
